| Intro | The Department of Neuropsychiatry of Korean Medicine works under the premise that all mental actions are phenomena of life energy, and that the origin of this energy lies in the physical body. Therefore, the Five Viscera that is the foundation of growth and activity of the physical body, and basic elements such as the Jing, Qi, Blood, etc., each have a close link to mental activity. Based on this physiological property, emotional damage(七情傷) and disease patterns such as the Nine Qi and Seven Qi caused by factors such as Fire, Phlegm, Blood Deficiency and Jing Depletion are diagnosed and treated through herbal medicinals, acupuncture, moxibustion and cupping. Here, we historically examine, analyze, and review various medical classical literature of East Asian Medicine and re-interpret according to contemporary meaning, carry out comparative researches with Western Medical Psychiatry, execute clinical trials for various psychiatric disease and develop new treatment methods. | ||
