The department of rehabilitation has its specialty in painful diseases in the spine and joints and paralytic diseases caused by disorders in motor nerve and sensory nerve. We aspire to develop diagnosing, assessing, treating, and managing abilities in each field. Moreover, rehabilitative medicine is a field of study in which students are educated to have the qualifications and capabilities in becoming leaders of teams that will be working with Oriental medical diagnosis and treatment of various sports-related damages using systemic and physiological balance control. We also educate and research therapeutic techniques of autoimmune diseases using diet and fasting therapies and use pharmacotherapy, massage therapy, cupping therapy, conduction exercise therapy, phototherapy, electrotherapy, hydropathy, rehabilitative instrumental therapy, and nutritional therapy as major therapeutic methods.
1) Prevention of preventable complications in early stage of diseases and treatment that enables functional rehabilitation of disorders caused by diseases
2) Maximize the function of damaged body parts and enhance the rest, undamaged body parts via therapeutic methods so they can substitute the function of damaged parts. Help patients deal with each symptom and improve his/her own bodily functions through education and training
3) The subject of rehabilitative treatment includes all disabled state, but fields of treatment that rehabilitative medical specialists substantially deal with are as follow:
   spine damage and spinal diseases
   central and peripheral nerve damage
   cerebral palsy
   degenerative diseases of central nervous system
   fracture, dislocation, and sprain
   connective tissue disease
   lumbar regional disease and chronic pain
   ataxy of physiological balance which requires systemic adjustment
4) Therapeutic methods of rehabilitative medical science include massage(advanced form of massage mentioned in Oriental medical classics), conduction exercise and qigong therapy(advanced form of conduction exercise), phototherapy according to passing meridian and collateral, warm meridian and collateral, and healthy meridian and collateral theory(based on the engendering and restraining theory of the five phases), electrotherapy, hydrotherapy, cupping method, and naturopathy(advanced from nutrition and life nurturing)
